Description
This Ruger Security-Six is a double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum and equipped with a 6-inch barrel. The firearm is constructed with a brushed stainless steel finish and features a six-shot swing-out cylinder. The furniture consists of two-piece checkered wood grips with inset silver-tone Ruger medallions. The revolver is fitted with a pinned ramp front sight with an orange insert and a micro-adjustable rear sight. The metal surfaces feature several prominent markings, including BEFORE USING GUN READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. followed by a circled R on the left side of the barrel. The right side of the barrel is stamped .357 MAGNUM CAL. while the frame is marked RUGER SECURITY-SIX followed by the Ruger phoenix logo on the right side. The serial number 157-76009 is stamped on the underside of the grip frame. The rear face of the cylinder is marked with a letter S. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The stainless steel finish is in good used condition, showing minor handling wear and a faint turn line on the cylinder. The wood grips are well-maintained with sharp checkering and only minor dings near the base of the frame. The bore is bright and clean with well-defined rifling. The double and single action appear to function correctly with a tight lockup.
