Description
This Weatherby Mark XXII semi-automatic rifle is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and is configured for recreational shooting and small game hunting. The rifle features a blued barrel and receiver with a decorative jeweled bolt visible through the ejection port. It is fitted with a high-gloss Monte Carlo wood stock featuring a cheekpiece, checkered pistol grip, and matching checkered forend. The furniture is accented with rosewood caps on the pistol grip and forend tip, separated by white line spacers. This model utilizes a tube-fed magazine located beneath the barrel and retains its factory iron sights, consisting of a ramped front sight and an adjustable rear sight, while currently being mounted with a Bushnell Sportview scope. A brown rubber recoil pad bearing the Weatherby name is attached to the butt. Key markings include the model designation MARKXXII above U.S. PATENT 3,155,004 on the right side of the receiver, along with the Weatherby script logo above SOUTH GATE CALIF MADE IN JAPAN. The serial number T09509 is stamped on the forward right side of the receiver and the barrel is marked CALIBER .22 L.R. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a high percentage of their original blued finish with very minimal wear or thinning. The jeweled bolt remains bright. The high-gloss wood stock is in very good condition, showing only a few light surface scratches and minor handling marks consistent with limited field use. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly and the trigger pull is crisp, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The optics on the Bushnell Sportview scope are clear with a duplex reticle. The rubber recoil pad remains supple and well-fitted to the buttstock.
