Description
This Daisy Model 25 is a classic pump-action air rifle designed for .177 caliber BBs. The rifle features a blued steel receiver paired with a barrel that exhibits significant surface oxidation and a dark patina throughout. The furniture consists of a fixed wooden buttstock and a ribbed wooden pump forearm, both of which show wear consistent with age and use. The sighting system includes a fixed front blade sight and a flip-up adjustable rear sight mounted on the top of the receiver. Key markings include the model designation DAISY No 25 followed by DAISY MFG. CO.- PAT’S PLYMOUTH, MICH. U.S.A. and a series of patent numbers: 1,097,244, 1,114,491, 1,136,470, 1,220,649, and 1,573,383. While the action appears to function correctly, we have not function-tested this air rifle. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the receiver shows scattered light scratches and handling wear. The barrel and magazine tube have developed a heavy layer of surface oxidation and a mottled brown patina. The wooden stock and forearm are structurally sound but exhibit various dings, scratches, and minor finish loss. The mechanical action appears to cycle normally.
