Description
This lot features a 50 count of empty .32 Colt brass casings contained in a vintage Winchester ammunition box. The brass casings are once-fired components with struck primers and exhibit various headstamps including W.R.A. 32 COLT N.P. and REM-UMC 32 COLT N.P. indicating manufacture by Winchester Repeating Arms and Remington-UMC respectively. The red and yellow cardboard box is printed with prominent Winchester trade marks and the text 32 COLT NEW POLICE, 50 CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGES, STAYNLESS, NON-MERCURIC, and OIL PROOF. Additional markings on the box indicate they were intended FOR COLT AND SMITH & WESSON REVOLVERS and were MADE IN U.S.A. A white price sticker on the box front is hand-written with BRASS ONLY and 4.95. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The vintage cardboard box shows significant signs of age and use including edge wear, fraying at the corners, surface soiling, and light staining. The spent brass casings are tarnished with some surface oxidation consistent with age. All visible primers have been struck and show a red sealant; the casings are empty and inert.
