Description
This High Standard Sentinel Deluxe is a nine-shot double-action revolver chambered in .22 caliber, featuring a 6-inch barrel intended for target shooting and recreational use. The firearm is finished in a uniform black, with a steel barrel and cylinder paired with a lightweight alloy frame. It is equipped with fixed sights, including a ramped front blade and a square-notch rear sight milled into the frame’s top strap. The furniture consists of two-piece checkered wood-grain grips designed for an ergonomic hold. Verbatim markings on the left side of the barrel include SENTINEL DELUXE, while the right side specifies HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP. HAMDEN, CONN. U.S.A. .22 CAL. The left side of the frame displays the circular HI-STANDARD eagle logo, and the right side is stamped with the model designation R-106 above the serial number 1581575. The revolver features a swing-out cylinder with a manual ejector rod. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good condition, retaining the majority of its original black finish. Light finish wear and thinning are visible at the muzzle, on the high edges of the cylinder, and on the leading edges of the frame. There are minor scattered surface scratches and handling marks throughout the metal surfaces. The checkered wood-grain grips are in very good condition with sharp texture and no notable chips or cracks. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling and no evidence of pitting. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double-action modes, with positive cylinder lock-up.
