Description
This is a Smith & Wesson Model 3906 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Parabellum, representing a durable and reliable third-generation design from the manufacturer. The firearm features a 4-inch barrel and is constructed with a stainless steel slide and frame, offering significant corrosion resistance. The action is a traditional double-action/single-action mechanism with an ambidextrous slide-mounted decocking safety. It is fitted with black checkered wrap-around polymer grips that provide a secure, textured surface and bear the Smith & Wesson logo. The sighting system consists of fixed three-dot sights for rapid target acquisition. Key markings include the slide marked SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A. on the left side, with the frame bearing the serial number TDL0655 above the model designation Mod 3906. The barrel hood is engraved 9MM PARABELLUM. This lot includes the original blue factory box with a matching end label, a safety, instruction, and parts manual, a cleaning kit, an orange chamber flag, and 2 magazines. Condition report:
The pistol is in very good condition, with the matte stainless steel finish showing only minor surface handling marks and light operational wear. Some carbon residue and light staining are present around the hammer, breech face, and muzzle from limited use. The bore is bright with crisp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly with positive engagement of the decocker, although it has not been live-fire tested. The polymer grips remain in excellent shape with sharp checkering. The factory box exhibits some edge wear and shelf storage marks but is overall well-preserved.
