Description
This lot consists of two silver bullion rounds produced by a private mint. Each round features a design inspired by the United States Peace Dollar. The obverse depicts a profile of Liberty with a radiate crown, inscribed with the word LIBERTY and the date 1985. The reverse shows a balance scale between two laurel sprigs, signifying its use as a trade unit. The reverse inscriptions read ONE TROY OUNCE at the top, with .999 FINE SILVER and SILVER TRADE UNIT at the bottom. Both pieces have reeded edges.
Total Weight: 2 oz t .999 fine silver.
Condition report:
Both rounds exhibit significant surface toning and oxidation. One round displays heavy, dark brown and iridescent toning across both the obverse and reverse. The second round shows more moderate, uneven yellowish-brown toning. Both pieces have minor handling marks and superficial contact marks consistent with bullion storage.
