Description
This lot consists of 40 loose, fired brass cartridge cases intended for reloading and chambered for the .220 Swift caliber. The cases are constructed of natural brass and show typical signs of use including carbon fouling and powder residue around the necks and shoulders. Prominent markings include a headstamp with the manufacturer mark REM-UMC and the caliber 220 SWIFT. The headstamp transcription for the characters is R, E, M, -, U, M, C at the top and 2, 2, 0, S, W, I, F, T at the bottom, identifying these as products of the Remington-Union Metallic Cartridge Company. This collection contains both cases with spent primers still intact and de-primed cases with open primer pockets. They are offered in used, fired condition and are not accompanied by original retail packaging.
Condition report:
These brass cases are in used, once-fired condition. The natural brass finish exhibits expected carbon fouling and light surface oxidation from previous use. The brass remains structurally intact with no evidence of neck splits, severe dents, or crushing, although individual pieces will require typical cleaning, resizing, and preparation before reloading. A mix of cases with spent primers and de-primed cases is present.
