Description
A pair of US Morgan silver dollars struck at the Philadelphia Mint, dated 1898 and 1900. These coins are composed of .900 fine silver. Both specimens exhibit the standard Morgan dollar design type with reeded edges. The absence of a mint mark on the reverse of each coin confirms their Philadelphia origin. These pieces represent two common dates from the later years of the series.
Condition report:
Both coins show signs of circulation. The 1898 dollar is in very fine to extremely fine condition with light surface marks and a mostly bright silver appearance. The 1900 dollar is in very fine condition and exhibits heavy, dark, mottled toning and environmental oxidation across the obverse and reverse surfaces. Neither coin shows evidence of professional cleaning, though both have expected contact marks from circulation.
