Description
This is a Mossberg International Silver Reserve over-and-under break-action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. The firearm features blued barrels with a ventilated top rib and a red fiber optic front sight. The receiver has a silver-tone finish decorated with floral scroll engravings and gold-colored bird inlays on the side plates. The furniture is comprised of a checkered wood stock and forend with a pistol grip. Technical specifications include a gold-toned single selective trigger and a tang-mounted safety that also functions as the barrel selector. The stock terminates in a black rubber recoil pad. Markings on the left side of the upper barrel read WARNING – Before use, read owner’s manual for safe operation. 12 GA 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch. The right side of the barrel is marked Made in Turkey by Kayhan Art S.S. Imported by Mossberg Int’l, Inc. North Haven, CT. The underside of the receiver is engraved MOSSBERG INTERNATIONAL SILVER RESERVE. The serial number TR 12 017904 is found on the tang and stamped on the barrel lug. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in very good condition, retaining approximately 98% of its original finishes. The bluing on the barrels is deep and consistent, and the silver-tone receiver shows only very minor handling marks. The bores are bright and clear with no evidence of pitting or corrosion. The wood furniture is in excellent shape with sharp checkering and only a few minor superficial dings from light use. The action remains tight, and the gold-toned finish on the trigger is well-preserved.
