Description
This Ithaca Gun Company side-by-side break-action shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge and features a classic boxlock action. The barrels are constructed of patterned Damascus steel and are equipped with a textured top rib and a single brass bead front sight. The receiver displays engraved scenes of hunting dogs and is marked ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA N.Y. on both sides. Verbatim markings on the water table include the serial number 182114, a PATD stamp, and a 12 gauge designation. The matching serial number 182114 is also clearly stamped on the barrel flats. The firearm is fitted with a checkered walnut stock and forend featuring a pistol grip and a hard rubber buttplate embossed with the manufacturer logo and a game bird. This shotgun is configured with double triggers and a top-tang safety. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The Damascus finish on the barrels remains visible but shows thinning and areas of light surface oxidation. The case-hardened receiver has faded to a mottled silver and gray patina with scattered light oxidation and surface spotting. The walnut furniture exhibits typical handling marks, shallow scratches, and dings consistent with field use. The checkering shows moderate wear but remains textured. The bores were not inspected, and the action has not been function-tested, although it appears to operate normally.
