Description
This lot consists of 20 empty brass casings for the .300 Savage caliber, contained within their original vintage Remington Kleanbore Express ammunition box. Originally designed to house 150-grain Soft Point Core-Lokt centerfire smokeless cartridges, these components are now presented for reloading or historical display. Prominent markings on the box include Remington Kleanbore, 300 Savage Express, and the product code 7030. Verbatim text on the front specifies 150 Grain Soft Point Core-Lokt Bullet and 20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges. The reverse side features the manufacturer designation Remington Arms Company, Incorporated with locations in Bridgeport, Conn. and Ilion, N. Y. along with a detailed notice regarding the non-corrosive priming and oilproof process. A handwritten note on a piece of adhesive tape on the reverse side reads Brass only! signifying the contents are spent casings. Both the Remington and DuPont logos are visible on the green cardboard packaging.
Condition report:
The vintage green cardboard box exhibits significant wear consistent with age, including fraying at the edges, surface rubbing, and general discoloration. The box is currently encased in a protective clear plastic wrap. The 20 brass casings are spent and appear structurally sound for reloading purposes, though they have not been individually gauged or tested for structural integrity.
