Description
This lot consists of a single Belgian side-by-side break-action shotgun chambered for 12-gauge shells with 65mm chambers. The firearm is a hammerless design featuring long barrels with a raised textured rib, double triggers, and a checkered wood stock with a pistol grip. The top of the right barrel is roll-stamped WARRANTED BELGIAN MAKE and a discrete importer mark for AGF Greensboro GA is present on the underside of the barrel assembly. The water table and barrel flats exhibit multiple Belgian proof marks including a crowned ELG in an oval, a lion rampant over PV, and a starred T inspector mark. Additional markings on the barrel flats include CHOKE 184, 1 Kg 389, J.F.&C., and 12-65 within an oval. The serial number 83830 is clearly struck on both the water table and the barrel flats. The walnut furniture shows checkering at the grip and forend, finished with a dark polymer buttplate displaying an intertwined monogram logo. Included with the shotgun is a grey knit firearm sock from Sportsman’s Warehouse. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in fair overall condition. The blued finish on the barrels shows moderate thinning and wear, particularly towards the muzzles. The receiver exhibits a worn finish with significant surface patina and light oxidation across most surfaces. The wood stock shows various scratches, dings, and handling marks from use, including a prominent light-colored scrape on the right side of the buttstock. The action appears to function correctly, though it has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The bores were not inspected.
