Description
This lot features a collection of eight ammunition boxes, specifically comprising 6 empty collector boxes with 10 rounds of 12 ga shotshells. The ammunition includes two 5-count boxes of 12-gauge rifled slugs: one Winchester Super Speed 2 3/4 inch box and one Western Super-X 2 3/4 inch box. Key markings include the manufacturer Winchester Repeating Arms Co., Division of Olin Industries, Inc., New Haven, Conn., U.S.A. on the Super Speed box, and Seal-Tite Wads and Non-Corrosive Primers on the Western Super-X box. The six empty collector boxes consist of a Peters High Velocity box with a mallard illustration and Kleanbore Priming, a Winchester-Western AA Plus Skeet Loads box, and two C-I-L Canuck boxes labeled Light Load and Target Load with Super-Clean Priming. Additionally, the lot contains two large 250-count Winchester .22 WRF rimfire cartridge boxes, designated as the 1986 Limited Edition and the 1994 Limited Edition, both featuring the iconic horse and rider graphic. Condition report:
The ammunition boxes generally exhibit good to very good condition, with several retaining clear plastic protective wrapping, including the Peters, the Winchester Super Speed slug box, the Canuck Light Load box, and both Winchester .22 WRF boxes. The Western 12-gauge rifled slug box shows typical shelf wear and slight discoloration consistent with age. The AA Plus and Canuck Target Load boxes display light edge rubbing and minor surface scuffing. The 10 rounds of 12-gauge rifled slugs appear to be original and are in live condition, although they have not been function-tested.
