Description
This is a Weaver Model J 2.5 fixed-power telescopic rifle scope featuring a 3/4-inch blued steel tube. The optic is fitted with a two-piece Weaver detachable mount system. Key markings on the scope body include Weaver J 2.5 and El Paso Tex. USA. Pat’d. The mounting rings are stamped Weaver Detachable Patented 3/4″ U.S.A. The scope utilizes a fine crosshair reticle for a simple sight picture. Both windage and elevation adjustment turrets are present and protected by original threaded caps. The objective and ocular lenses are housed in a durable steel body with a tapered profile.
Condition report:
The scope is in good condition, showing some surface wear, minor scratches, and light thinning of the blued finish consistent with age and field use. The adjustment caps show minor finish loss on the knurling. The optics are clear and the reticle is intact. The turret adjustments appear to function correctly. The Weaver mounts are in good condition with minor wear to the screw slots.
