Description

This lot comprises two US Morgan silver dollar-style coins. The first is a 1921 Morgan silver dollar struck at the Philadelphia mint (no mint mark). It features a Liberty head obverse and an eagle reverse. The 1921 issue is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The second item is an 1897-dated Morgan silver dollar reproduction. This specimen is incised with the word COPY on the reverse field above the eagle. Both coins are finished with reeded edges. The 1921 Morgan dollar represents the final year of the original series before the introduction of the Peace dollar.

Condition report:

The 1921 coin is in Fine to Very Fine circulated condition, showing moderate wear on high points, scattered surface contact marks, and light toning. The 1897 reproduction displays heavy circulated wear and a significant accumulation of dark residue or heavy toning across the obverse.
