Description
Two vintage American-made industrial hand tools consisting of an adjustable pipe wrench and a double-ended box-end wrench. The first tool is a Stillson pattern adjustable pipe wrench featuring an embossed manufacturer mark on the handle for Keen Kutter, including the brand shield logo. The reverse side of the handle is embossed with the text DROP FORGED. The wrench is constructed of forged and cast steel components and includes a knurled adjustment nut and a spring-tensioned jaw. The second tool is a Blackhawk Manufacturing Co. model 4950 double-ended box wrench with a distinctive S-shape offset profile designed for automotive applications. The shank is stamped with BLACKHAWK, MADE IN USA, and the model number 4950. One head is marked with the fractional size 5/8. Both tools are made of forged steel.
Condition report:
Both items are in as-found, used condition. The pipe wrench exhibits heavy surface oxidation, rust, and pitting throughout, with moderate wear visible on the gripping teeth. The Blackhawk S-wrench shows patches of surface rust, pitting, and general finish wear consistent with shop use. Box ends remain functional with minor wear to the internal points.
