Description
This Calico Liberty I is a semi-automatic carbine chambered for 9mm cartridges, utilizing a distinctive top-mounted helical magazine system. The firearm features a barrel fitted with a multi-port muzzle brake and is shrouded by a vented polymer handguard. The receiver is constructed from metal with a matte black finish, paired with a black polymer lower receiver that incorporates a textured pistol grip and a cross-bolt safety. It is equipped with a collapsible twin-bar wire stock and a grooved polymer buttpad. The 50-round capacity helical magazine is marked CALICO and 9MM ONLY, featuring round count indicators at the 10, 23, 37, and 50 round positions. Prominent markings on the left side of the receiver include LIBERTY I, CALICO, 9 MM ONLY, and MADE IN BAKERSFIELD,CA.USA. The serial number R003887 is clearly stamped on the receiver. Safety and instructional markings read ALTERATIONS TO THIS FIREARM ARE UNSAFE AND ILLEGAL and BEFORE USING THIS FIREARM, READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The receiver and polymer furniture show signs of light use with minor scuffs and handling marks. The barrel assembly exhibits widespread surface oxidation and light pitting on the exposed steel surfaces. The muzzle brake has minor thinning of the finish at the ports. The action appears to function normally when manually cycled, though it has not been function-tested. The bore was not inspected.
