Description
This lot consists of 156 rounds of rimfire ammunition distributed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. under the J.C. Higgins brand name. The collection is housed in four original 50-count cardboard boxes and contains a variety of copper-plated cartridges including .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle configurations. Key markings transcribed from the packaging include the J.C. Higgins logo, Sears, Roebuck and Co. as the seller, and Chicago, Illinois, as the location. Specific catalog numbers identified on the boxes are 6 340, 6 341, and 6 342, along with a separate box marked Xtra-Range with catalog number 340. Condition report:

The 156 rounds of ammunition show significant signs of age and environmental exposure, characterized by extensive white and green oxidation on the copper-plated bullets and brass cases.
