Description
This lot features 100 rounds of vintage Remington UMC Kleanbore Express ammunition chambered in .25-35 Winchester & Savage, presented in five original 20-round cardboard boxes. The collection includes four boxes of 117-grain mushroom bullets and one box of 117-grain soft point bullets. The distinctive green boxes display the classic red Remington dog bone logo and a detailed graphic of a steam locomotive labeled Express. Verbatim markings on the primary box faces include .25-35 WINCHESTER & SAVAGE, 117 GRAINS MUSHROOM BULLET (or SOFT POINT BULLET), REMINGTON UMC KLEANBORE, and FOR WINCHESTER-SAVAGE AND OTHER RIFLES. The end flaps are marked Remington .25/35 Cal. WIN. (WINCHESTER) 117 Grs. The brass-cased cartridges feature headstamps with the text REM-UMC 25-35 and the projectiles are jacketed round-nose configurations. Side panels describe the Kleanbore feature as designed to prevent chemical erosion and rust within the bore. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The original cardboard packaging exhibits age-appropriate wear including edge fraying, corner rounding, and surface staining. One box of soft point ammunition shows more significant staining and localized surface loss on the face. The cartridges themselves appear well-preserved with a consistent natural patina on the brass cases and no significant corrosion noted. The ammunition appears to be live and original to the packaging.
