Description
This Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 is a double-action revolver chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge and featuring a six-round capacity cylinder. The firearm is equipped with a 6-inch barrel and displays a high-polish blued finish across the barrel and frame. The revolver is currently fitted with checkered wood target-style grips accented with gold-tone S&W medallions, and the lot includes a second set of black rubber finger-groove grips as a versatile alternative. The sighting arrangement includes a pinned front sight with a red ramp insert paired with a micro-adjustable rear sight. Both the hammer and trigger retain visible case-hardened color finishes. Verbatim markings include SMITH & WESSON on the left side of the barrel and S.&W. .357 MAGNUM on the right side. The frame crane is stamped with the serial number 48K5047 over the model designation MOD. 19-4. The right side of the frame features the manufacturer trade mark and the four-line address MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. A brown zippered leatherette soft case is included for storage and transport. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good used condition, with the blued finish showing minor holster wear at the muzzle and thinning on some sharp edges. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The double-action and single-action mechanisms appear to function correctly with positive cylinder lockup. The case-hardened finishes on the hammer and trigger remain clear. The wood target grips show light handling marks, and the additional rubber grips are in good condition. The zippered case shows typical external wear consistent with its age.
