Description
This lot consists of 200 rounds of Winchester Super-X .22 Hornet centerfire ammunition, contained in four original boxes of 50 rounds each. These cartridges feature 46-grain jacketed hollow point bullets, a load commonly intended for varmint hunting as indicated by the groundhog illustration on the packaging. The grey cardboard boxes display the red and black Winchester horse and rider trademark. Verbatim markings on the boxes include Winchester, Super-X, 22 Hornet, 46 Gr. Hollow Point, and the product code X22H2. The cartridges themselves are rimmed, brass-cased rounds with visible headstamps reading W-W Super 22 Hornet. The ammunition is organized in white Styrofoam trays within the cardboard outer packaging.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, live condition with minor tarnish noted on some of the brass cases. The copper jackets on the hollow point bullets remain clean and free of significant oxidation. The cardboard boxes show signs of age and shelf wear, including minor tearing on the end flaps, fraying at the edges, and surface scuffing throughout.
