Description
This is a Marlin Model 1894 lever-action rifle chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, a classic American carbine designed for both utility and sport. The firearm features a 20-inch Micro-Groove barrel paired with a full-length tubular magazine. The receiver, barrel, and magazine tube exhibit a deep blued finish, accented by a distinct gold-tone trigger. The furniture consists of a smooth wood straight-grip buttstock and a matching forend, both fitted with sling swivel studs. For sighting, the rifle is equipped with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and a hooded front ramp sight, while the top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics. The buttstock is finished with a black textured polymer buttplate embossed with the Marlin name and a white line spacer. Verbatim markings on the barrel include THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO., NORTH HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. / MOD. 1894 – MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 44 REM. MAG. and a JM proof mark is visible on the left side near the receiver. The serial number 27061913 is stamped on the upper tang. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good condition. The blued finish is excellent, showing only minimal high-edge wear and very light handling marks. The wood stock and forearm are in good condition with scattered light dings and minor surface scratches from handling, but no visible cracks. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly, and the gold plating on the trigger is well-preserved.
