Description
This Ruger Vaquero is a traditional single-action revolver chambered in the powerful .45 caliber. It is equipped with a 5.5-inch barrel and a six-round capacity cylinder. The firearm features a high-grade blued finish on the barrel, cylinder, and grip frame, while the main frame is finished in a distinctive color case-hardening showing mottled blues and straws. The factory grips have been replaced with aftermarket black Hogue rubber grips featuring finger grooves and a pebbled texture for a more secure hold. The sights consist of a fixed rear frame notch and a front blade that has been modified with a green fiber optic insert to improve target acquisition. Key markings include the model designation and caliber on the left side of the frame as RUGER VAQUERO .45 CAL. and the serial number 55-47567 on the right side of the frame. The left side of the barrel is marked BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and cylinder is well-preserved, showing only minor surface wear and a light cylinder drag line. The color case-hardened frame remains vibrant with excellent color retention. The aftermarket Hogue rubber grips are in very good condition with no significant wear or damage. The action appears to function correctly through all cycles, although we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The front sight modification is cleanly installed and secure.
