Description
This lot consists of 20 rounds of Winchester .30-30 Win centerfire rifle ammunition produced for the company’s 150th Anniversary commemorative series spanning 1866 to 2016. Included in the lot are two distinct forms of commemorative packaging: one silver cardboard box and one sliding-lid wooden presentation case. The cardboard box is marked for Winchester Super X 170-grain Power-Point ammunition, while the wooden box is printed for 150-grain Power-Point loads. The cartridges feature brass cases and soft-point bullets, held within a single white polystyrene tray. Prominent markings on the cardboard packaging include Winchester Super X, 30-30 Win, 170 Grain, and Power-Point alongside the 150 Years seal. The wooden box is marked Winchester The American Legend and 30-30 Win 150 Grain Power-Point, featuring detailed artwork of a hunter and a grizzly bear. Headstamps on the brass cases are transcribed verbatim as Winchester 30-30 Win. This collection contains a total of 20 live ammunition rounds.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears in excellent condition with clean brass cases and well-formed lead soft-point tips, showing no signs of corrosion or significant oxidation. The cardboard Super X box exhibits minor shelf wear with light creasing at the corners and edges. The commemorative wooden box is in very good condition with clear, vibrant printed graphics and only minor handling marks on the natural wood surfaces.
