Description

This lot consists of 70 items of .480 Ruger centerfire ammunition, comprised of 55 live rounds and 15 empty brass casings intended for reloading. The collection includes two partial boxes from prominent manufacturers. The Hornady Custom box is labeled for twenty 325 grain XTP Mag hollow point cartridges, and the individual cartridges feature headstamps transcribed as HORNADY 480 RUGER. The Buffalo Bore Heavy .480 Ruger box, identified as Item 13A, is labeled for fifty 370 grain Lead Flat Nose (L.F.N.) cartridges with a muzzle velocity of 1300 F.P.S. and headstamps marked 480 RUGER with a five-pointed star symbol. The ammunition is presented in its original manufacturer packaging, which includes cardboard outer boxes and internal Styrofoam or cardboard dividers. The Buffalo Bore box specifies the use of lead flat nose projectiles, while the Hornady cartridges utilize jacketed hollow point bullets. Both boxes retain original retail price stickers and provide ballistic data on the end panels.

Condition report:

Both original manufacturer boxes show moderate to heavy shelf wear, including scuffing along the edges, several torn corners, and general creasing. The Hornady box has a retail price sticker of $34.99 and the Buffalo Bore box is marked $54.99. The brass casings are generally clean with no significant signs of corrosion or oxidation, though some minor tarnishing may be present on older rounds. The lead and jacketed projectiles appear well-preserved. The live rounds appear to be in functional condition, although they have not been discharge-tested. The empty brass casings appear suitable for reloading purposes.
