Description
This Ithaca SKB Model 900 is a semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 12-gauge, 2 3/4-inch shells, featuring a ventilated rib barrel with dual sighting beads and a fixed full choke. The barrel and receiver exhibit a blued finish, with the receiver sides displaying gold-toned game scene engravings depicting a running rabbit on the right and a flying game bird on the left, both framed by ornate floral scrollwork. A gold-finished trigger is fitted within the guard. The furniture is comprised of a checkered wood stock and forend finished in a high-gloss lacquer, which currently shows numerous surface scratches and handling marks consistent with moderate field use. The stock is terminated with a brown rubber Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. Key markings on the barrel include the model and chambering information transcribed as MODEL 900 – 12GA- 2 3/4 CHAMBER-PROOF TESTED, alongside ITHACA GUN CO., INC., ITHACA, N.Y. MADE IN JAPAN – ROTO FORGED and CUSTOM CRAFTED FOR ITHACA BY SKB. The barrel is also marked NP and FULL near the breech. The serial number S63034 is stamped on the underside of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun exhibits moderate wear across all surfaces. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains largely intact but shows thinning at the high edges and minor surface scratches. The bore was not inspected internally but appears bright from the muzzle. The wood stock and forend retain a high percentage of their gloss finish, though both sections show multiple light to moderate scratches, dings, and surface impressions from handling. The checkered patterns remain well-defined. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The Pachmayr recoil pad is securely fitted.
