Description
This Remington Model 1100 is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 3-inch magnum shells. Designed for waterfowl and long-range wingshooting, it features a full-length barrel equipped with a ventilated rib and a single silver front bead sight. The receiver and barrel are finished in a polished bluing, with the receiver featuring decorative scrollwork engraving on both the left and right sides. The furniture consists of a high-gloss finished walnut stock and forend featuring pressed checkering patterns. The pistol grip is fitted with a black cap bearing a white diamond inlay, and the butt is fitted with a ventilated black rubber Remington recoil pad. Key markings include the model designation Remington Model 1100 and the serial number P138567M on the left side of the receiver. The right side of the receiver is marked MAGNUM. Barrel markings on the right side specify ★ 12 GA. MAGNUM FOR 3 IN. SHELLS, while the left side displays the manufacturer information REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., ILION, N.Y., U.S.A. and proof marks including a circled REP. Condition report:
The shotgun is in good used condition. The blued finish on the receiver remains strong with only light surface scratches and minor wear at the high points. The barrel bluing is well-preserved, though there is visible surface oxidation and light rust spotting concentrated along the mounting points of the ventilated rib. The wood stock and forend retain a high-gloss luster with scattered dings, handling marks, and finish scratches consistent with field use. The action appears to function smoothly when cycled by hand, but the firearm has not been function-tested. The bore was not inspected.
