Description
This Winchester Model 9422M XTR is a lever-action sporting rifle chambered in .22 Win. Magnum. It features a 20.5-inch round barrel paired with a full-length tubular magazine. The metal surfaces exhibit a high-polish blued finish on the barrel, receiver, and magazine tube. The furniture consists of a two-piece checkered walnut stock and forearm with a high-gloss finish. The rifle is equipped with an adjustable rear buckhorn sight and a hooded front ramp sight. A black plastic buttplate embossed with the Winchester logo completes the assembly. Prominent markings on the barrel specify WINCHESTER ® MODEL 9422M XTR – .22 WIN. MAGNUM and MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL. The matching serial number F531748 is clearly visible on both the underside of the receiver and the lever assembly frame. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The high-polish blued finish is very well-preserved, showing only minor surface specking on the receiver and light handling wear on the barrel. The checkered walnut stock and forearm are in very good condition, retaining an attractive high-gloss luster with some minor handling dings and light scratches consistent with field use. The checkering remains sharp and well-defined. The bore appears bright with strong rifling. The action appears to function correctly and cycles smoothly; however, we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
