Description
This Remington Model 552 Speedmaster BDL Deluxe is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle capable of cycling .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably. The rifle features a 21-inch barrel with a high-gloss blued finish and a full-length tubular magazine located beneath the barrel. The receiver is also finished in a high-gloss bluing and is equipped with a factory black metal shell deflector mounted to the ejection port. The furniture consists of a high-gloss finished American walnut stock and forend featuring decorative fleur-de-lis checkering and a capped pistol grip. Iron sights include a ramped blade front sight and a step-adjustable rear sight mounted to the barrel. The buttstock is finished with a checkered black synthetic buttplate bearing the Remington logo. Key markings include the model designation Remington Speedmaster MODEL 552 and the serial number A1984887 roll-marked on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify the manufacturer address REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., ILION, N.Y. U.S.A. followed by the chambering 22 SHORT, LONG AND LONG RIFLE. Visible proof marks on the barrel include a REP in an oval and the character string U C J. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original high-gloss blued finish on the receiver and barrel with only negligible handling marks. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition with a vibrant gloss finish and sharp, well-defined checkering. The bore is bright with crisp rifling and no signs of pitting or corrosion. The action cycles smoothly and appears to function correctly, though it has not been test-fired. All hardware, including the shell deflector and sights, is securely attached and well-preserved.
