Description
This lot features a Thompson/Center Arms Contender single-shot break-action pistol currently configured with a 10 inch stainless steel barrel chambered in .22 LR. The pistol is paired with an additional 14 inch T/C Custom Shop stainless steel barrel chambered in 7mm T/CU, as the lot comes with extra barrel versatility. The installed .22 LR barrel features an adjustable rear sight and is topped with a silver-finished scope sporting a deer-head logo and protective black lens caps, while the 7mm T/CU barrel is equipped with a black Simmons 2.5X-7X28 variable power scope. The stainless steel frame is decorated with scrollwork and a cougar head engraving on both sides, and it is fitted with a gloss-finished wooden forend and a matching ergonomic wooden grip with pronounced finger grooves. Prominent markings include THOMPSON : CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, N H. and .22 LR on the primary barrel, and the serial number S3269 is clearly struck on the top tang of the frame. The spare barrel is marked T/C Custom Shop THOMPSON : CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, N H. 7MM T/CU. The grip is finished with a plastic base cap. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol and additional barrel are in excellent overall condition with minimal signs of use. The stainless steel finishes on the frame and both barrels are bright with only very faint handling marks. The wooden grip and forend retain a high-gloss finish and are free of significant dings or scratches. The bores of both the .22 LR and 7mm T/CU barrels are bright with sharp rifling and no evidence of pitting. The break-action mechanism appears to function correctly, and the triggers and hammers operate smoothly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Both the silver-finished scope and the Simmons optic provide clear images with well-defined reticles.
