Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of vintage Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Short rimfire ammunition, distributed across two original cardboard boxes containing 50 cartridges each. The ammunition is configured with brass cases and lead round-nose bullets. The packaging features a classic red, white, and green color scheme with various prominent markings transcribed as Remington HI-SPEED, .22 SHORT, and KLEANBORE. The boxes also display the DuPont oval logo, the manufacturing location MADE IN U.S.A., and the quantity statement 50 RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES. Safety information is printed on the top face reading WARNING KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. One box retains an orange retail sticker from Katz ELECTRICAL with a handwritten price of 69 cents. Internal examination of the cartridges reveals headstamps marked with a central U, with some rounds additionally bearing the circular HI-SPEED designation on the case heads. Condition report:
The original cardboard packaging exhibits age-related wear including surface staining, edge fraying, and several handwritten ink notations on the top faces. The cartridges show moderate oxidation on the lead bullet surfaces and a natural dark patina or tarnish across the brass cases. The ammunition appears to be live and well-preserved within the original boxes, though it is sold as a vintage collectible.
