Description
This is a modern single-action top-break revolver, a reproduction of the Smith and Wesson Model 3 Schofield manufactured by Uberti for Navy Arms. The revolver is currently configured with a 7-inch barrel and is accompanied by an extra barrel assembly measuring approximately 3.5 inches, both chambered in .45 Long Colt. The firearm features a high-polish blued finish on the frame and six-shot cylinder, accented by a color case-hardened finish on the hammer and top latch. The grip frame is fitted with smooth walnut panels, the left side of which bears a stamped CW inspector’s cartouche under the date 1877. Key markings include CAL. 45 LC. and AUBERTI-ITALY on the left side of the primary barrel, while the extra barrel is marked CAL. 45 LC. and NAVY ARMS CO. RIDGEFIELD N.J. / A. UBERTI MADE IN ITALY. The butt plate is clearly stamped with the serial number 5469 alongside a U S property mark. The lot includes the original decorative factory box labeled for the 1875 Schofield No. 45 Automatic Ejector. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its high-polish blued and color case-hardened finishes. A very faint cylinder turn line is present, consistent with light handling. The walnut grips are attractive and free of significant dings or scratches. The bores of both the 7-inch and 3.5-inch barrels are bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The factory box shows minor edge wear and light scuffing but remains solid and intact.
