Description
A pair of United States Morgan silver dollars consisting of one 1885 and one 1902 issue. Both coins feature the O mint mark on the reverse, signifying production at the New Orleans Mint. These coins are struck in a composition of 90% silver and 10% copper. The coins feature the Morgan Liberty head obverse and the heraldic eagle reverse with reeded edges. The inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and In God We trust in Gothic script.
Condition report:
Both coins are in circulated condition. The 1885-O specimen exhibits moderate wear on the high points of the hair and eagle\'s breast, consistent with a Very Fine grade. The 1902-O specimen shows heavier wear with flattened details on the hair and feathers, alongside heavy dark toning in the recessed areas, consistent with a Fine grade. Both coins display scattered surface contact marks and minor rim nicks.
