Description
This lot consists of three vintage Western-style leather revolver holsters featuring varied floral and geometric tooling, sized for large-frame single action revolvers with approximately 5.5 to 7.5 inch barrels. The first holster is a brown leather Slim Jim style with a single retention loop and decorative floral tooling. The second is a Mexican loop style holster with heavy floral carving and prominent leather lacing along the outer edge. The third is a dark brown Mexican loop style holster with elaborate floral and geometric circle patterns and a wide integral belt loop. The tooling and construction are reminiscent of late 19th and early 20th-century saddlery work, though no manufacturer marks are present. All three pieces exhibit significant wear consistent with field use and age.
Condition report:
The leather on all three holsters shows evidence of heavy use, including surface cracking, scuffs, and darkening from age and exposure. The stitching is mostly intact, though the decorative edge lacing on the middle holster shows some minor losses and fraying. The leather remains pliable but shows stress at the belt loops and retention points. There is no evidence of modern restoration or leather treatment.
