Description
This Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in .45 caliber, featuring a 7.5-inch barrel and a traditional blued steel finish. The firearm is currently fitted with oversized, checkered wooden target grips designed for enhanced handling, and an additional set of smooth factory wooden grips featuring silver-tone Ruger eagle medallions is included, providing the owner with 2 grips to suit their preference. The revolver is equipped with an adjustable rear sight and a ramped front sight. Key markings include the model designation on the left side of the frame, which is stamped RUGER .45 CALIBER NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK, and the serial number 46-52598 on the right side of the frame. The barrel is marked with the manufacturer’s information and safety warning, stating BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. This lot is presented with its original orange and black cardboard box bearing Catalog No. BN 45 and includes a Firearms Safety Depends On You instruction booklet. Condition report:
The revolver is in very good overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original blued finish with only a faint indexing line visible on the cylinder. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly with a solid lockup and crisp mechanics. Both sets of wooden grips are well-preserved, showing only minimal signs of handling. The original cardboard box shows some shelf wear, including minor fraying and tape reinforcement at the corners, while the included manual remains in good, legible condition.
