Description
Four 1972-S Eisenhower silver dollar uncirculated coins, commonly known to collectors as Blue Ikes. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, these coins are composed of a 40 percent silver alloy. Each coin is housed in its original government packaging, which consists of a sealed flexible pliofilm sleeve containing both the dollar coin and a blue plastic Eisenhower medallion. Each set is presented in its original blue embossed folding wallet and includes the original US Treasury informational card explaining the uncirculated minting process. The obverse features the profile portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower with the S mint mark, and the reverse depicts the Apollo 11 commemorative design of an eagle landing on the lunar surface. The coins feature reeded edges and retain full original mint luster.
Condition report:
Uncirculated. The coins remain sealed in their original mint-issued pliofilm packaging. As noted on the included informational cards, these uncirculated strikes may exhibit minor contact marks or blemishes from the high-speed minting and counting process. Light natural toning may be present on the silver surfaces. The blue folding wallets and informational cards show minor signs of shelf wear and age.
