Description
Handcrafted by Ceramarte of Brazil, this ceramic beer stein is the fourth installment in the six-part Busch Family Series produced for Anheuser-Busch. Designated as the 2004 State Convention Stein, the piece commemorates the legacy of August A. Busch, Jr., who served as company president from 1946 to 1975. The exterior features a detailed relief-molded graphic montage under the banner A LEGACY OF QUALITY. The design includes a central color portrait of August A. Busch, Jr., the Budweiser Clydesdales hitch, the vintage Bud Man mascot holding a Stamp Out Thirst sign, and a 1964 World Champions St. Louis Cardinals logo. Also depicted are Busch Bavarian Beer bottles and the Busch Gardens logo. The lower portion of the stein is decorated with a navy blue band featuring raised gold stars above the Anheuser-Busch, Inc. name in white script. The base contains a printed biographical summary of the career of August Gussie Busch, Jr., the individual serial number 25689, the manufacturer mark for Ceramarte, and a copyright date of 2003.
Condition report:
Excellent condition. The ceramic body is free of chips, cracks, or crazing. The colorful graphics and raised gold star elements are vibrant and show no signs of wear or loss. All text on the base is crisp and legible.
