Description
This is a Parker-Hale Model 1200 Super bolt-action sporting rifle chambered in .270 Winchester and built on a commercial Mauser-style action. The rifle features a blued steel barrel and receiver, a polished bolt with a knurled handle, and a gold-toned trigger. The high-gloss, light-colored wood stock is configured in a Monte Carlo style with a raised cheekpiece, featuring distinctive skip-line checkering on the pistol grip and forend. The stock is further accented with a dark wood forend tip and a pistol grip cap with white spacers and a diamond inlay. It is equipped with a Redfield Lo-Pro variable-power scope featuring a range-finding reticle mounted on a one-piece base, as well as a ramped front sight and an adjustable flip-up rear barrel sight. The buttstock is fitted with a black Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad. Key markings include the manufacturer and location on the barrel as PARKER-HALE LTD. BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND, the caliber designation CAL 270 WIN, and the import mark IMPORTER JANA DENVER COL. The receiver is stamped with the serial number P-78521 and features Birmingham Nitro Proof marks. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their original blued finish, showing only minor thinning at the muzzle and a few light surface scratches consistent with careful use. The wood stock is in good condition with some minor dings and handling marks throughout the high-gloss finish, while the checkering remains well-defined. The action appears to function smoothly, and the trigger pull is crisp. The Redfield optic has clear glass and a functioning adjustment system. The bore was not inspected, and the rifle has not been live-fire tested.
