Description
This lot features a Ruger New Model Single-Six single-action revolver chambered in .22 caliber, produced as a commemorative edition for the 1976 Colorado Centennial and U.S. Bicentennial. The firearm is configured with a 6.5 inch barrel and features a high-gloss blued finish on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, which is handsomely offset by a polished stainless steel grip frame, trigger, and hammer. The smooth rosewood-style grips are in excellent condition and are inset with silver-tone Ruger eagle medallions. Key markings include the commemorative inscription on the left side of the barrel which reads 1876 ★ Colorado Centennial ★ U.S. Bicentennial ★ 1776, and the manufacturer information on the top of the barrel stating STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. The left side of the frame is stamped RUGER® .22 CAL. NEW MODEL SINGLE-SIX® above the serial number 76-13976. The base of the polished grip frame is engraved 1876 Colorado 1976. The revolver is equipped with an adjustable rear sight and a ramped front sight. Notably, this set includes 2 cylinders, both of which are blued and roll-engraved with the Colorado state capitol building, the state name, and a stylized 76 logo. The entire set is presented in a fitted walnut display case with a blue velvet-lined interior and a commemorative Colorado Centennial emblem on the lid. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
This revolver is in excellent, near-pristine condition, showing virtually no signs of use or wear. The high-gloss blued finish is deep and consistent with no visible thinning, scratches, or holster wear. The polished stainless steel grip frame and components are bright and clean. Both engraved cylinders are in excellent condition and notably lack any visible drag lines or turn marks, suggesting the action has rarely been cycled. The smooth wood grips are free of dings, chips, or scratches. While the bore was not viewed internally, the external condition of the muzzle and cylinder faces suggests it remains in top-tier condition. The action appears to function correctly with crisp timing. The walnut presentation case is in very good to excellent condition with minor shelf wear and a clean, intact interior lining.
