Description
This lot features a vintage two-piece box of Winchester .33 Winchester centerfire ammunition containing 14 live rounds and 2 empty brass casings. The cartridges are loaded with 200 grain soft point bullets featuring exposed lead tips. The packaging consists of a classic red, white, and yellow cardboard box with markings that include WINCHESTER TRADE MARK, 33 WINCHESTER, 200 GRAIN SOFT POINT, and 20 CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGES. The box also bears the STAYNLESS and NON-MERCURIC trademarked labels along with MADE IN U.S.A. Visual inspection of the headstamps reveals a mix of manufacturers, specifically REM-UMC 33 C.F. and W.R.A. CO. 33 WIN. The brass components show a natural aged patina, while the lead projectile tips exhibit surface oxidation.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is in fair to good vintage condition, exhibiting edge wear, corner fraying, and minor surface staining. The lid shows scuffing and small tears consistent with age and long-term storage. The brass cases are tarnished with a dark natural patina throughout. The lead soft-point tips show characteristic white oxidation on the surface. Of the 16 total cartridges present, 14 appear to be live and unspent, while 2 cases are empty brass.
