Description
This Smith & Wesson Model 41 is a high-precision semi-automatic target pistol chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. It is configured with a 5.5 inch barrel featuring a full-length serrated top rib designed to reduce glare and a blued carbon steel slide and frame. The furniture consists of a pair of checkered walnut target grips featuring a prominent thumb rest on the left panel for right-handed shooters. The sighting system is comprised of a micro-adjustable rear target sight and a fixed ramped front sight. Verbatim markings on the left side include the manufacturer name SMITH & WESSON on the slide and the serial number UBD2630 on the frame alongside the trade mark logo. The right side of the slide is marked 22 LONG RIFLE while the frame bears the address MADE IN U.S.A. / MARCAS REGISTRADAS / SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS. above the designation Model 41. This lot is accompanied by a blue plastic Smith & Wesson hard case with a matching factory label, a safety and instruction manual, and two detachable magazines. Condition report:
The pistol is in excellent condition, retaining approximately 99% of its original factory blued finish with only the most minute signs of handling. The checkered walnut grips are exceptionally clean with sharp checkering and no visible dings or scratches. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly with a smooth trigger pull and positive slide operation, though the firearm has not been test-fired. The included magazines, case, and manual are in good to very good condition.
