Description
This Browning A-Bolt is a bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, designed for reliable field performance and accuracy. The rifle features a blued barrel and a receiver with a short-throw bolt, distinguished by a bolt handle with a plum-colored hue. The firearm is mounted in a checkered walnut stock with a high-gloss finish, featuring a Monte Carlo comb and a black rubber recoil pad. It is equipped with a gold-toned trigger, a top-tang safety, and two-piece matte black scope mount bases on the receiver. Verbatim markings on the left side of the barrel include BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH MADE IN JAPAN MIROKU with an NP proof mark near the receiver. The right side of the barrel is inscribed PAT. 4723369 A-BOLT CAL. .308 WIN ONLY. The serial number 82583MN351 is clearly stamped on the left side of the receiver. Included with the lot is a gray knit gun sock from the Kittery Trading Post. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains largely intact, though the bolt handle exhibits a plum-toned finish common to certain bluing processes. The wood stock shows moderate signs of field use, with several visible scratches, dings, and surface compressions primarily on the right side of the forend and buttstock. The bore was not inspected, but the bolt action appears to cycle smoothly and the trigger pull is crisp; however, the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The rubber recoil pad is in good condition with minor signs of shelf wear.
