Description
This Harris-McMillan Talon is a high-performance bolt-action rifle designed for precision long-range shooting and hunting, chambered in the powerful .30-378 Weatherby Magnum caliber. The firearm features a heavy-profile barrel equipped with a multi-port muzzle brake to mitigate recoil from the magnum chambering. The receiver and barrel are finished in a durable matte black. The rifle is mounted in a black textured synthetic stock that includes an adjustable comb held by two thumb screws and a length-of-pull adjustment system consisting of three metal spacers positioned before the black recoil pad. Key markings include the manufacturer and location “HARRIS • McMILLAN PHOENIX, AZ.” and the serial number “SS0839” on the left side of the receiver. The model name “TALON” is marked on the right side of the front receiver ring, and the barrel is engraved with “.30-378” on the left side. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounts, and sling swivel studs are present on the forend and buttstock. No optics or iron sights are included with this lot. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish is in good overall condition, showing minor surface scuffs on the barrel and receiver with light finish wear around the muzzle brake ports. The bore was not inspected but the barrel exterior is well-maintained. The bolt-action appears to function smoothly, though the rifle has not been function-tested or live-fire tested. The black synthetic stock remains attractive with a few light cosmetic scratches and handling marks consistent with careful field use. The adjustable comb and length-of-pull spacers are all present and functional.
