Description
This lot consists of one pair of full-size Model 1911-style handgun grips manufactured from a cream-colored synthetic material designed to simulate ivory. The front of each grip features printed vintage-style pin-up girl artwork in the style of Alberto Vargas. The left panel depicts a woman in a light-colored, polka-dot outfit in a dynamic pose, while the right panel displays a woman in a translucent gray dress. Close inspection of the illustrations reveals a visible halftone dot pattern, indicating a mechanical printing process. The reverse of the panels is flat with standard mounting holes and exhibits various stains and residue. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or serial numbers are present on the items.
Condition report:
The grips are in good overall condition with light surface yellowing and minor handling wear. The reverse sides show significant dark staining, residue, and yellowish spots. Small chips are present along the bottom edges of both panels.
