Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of .22 Long Rifle rimfire ammunition produced by Canadian Industries Limited (C-I-L) under the Canuck brand name. The collection is comprised of two individual boxes, each containing 50 rounds, which are stored inside a larger 500-round capacity outer brick carton. Each cartridge is constructed with a brass casing and a greased lead bullet. Verbatim markings on the packaging include the brand name CANUCK, the caliber designation 22 LONG RIFLE, and the text STD. VELOCITY and GREASED RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES. The oval C-I-L manufacturer trademark is featured prominently on all boxes. The cartridges are characterized by a headstamp consisting of a single letter D. The outer box bears the number 500 and the warning KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, while the smaller boxes are marked with the number 50. The packaging features a distinctive yellow and black graphic design.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in aged condition, with the brass casings exhibiting a dull patina and the lead bullets showing visible white oxidation typical for older greased rimfire cartridges. The ammunition appears to be live, but its functional reliability is not guaranteed. The cardboard packaging shows moderate signs of age and wear, including surface scuffing, edge tears, and creasing, particularly on the outer brick box. The interior yellow plastic cartridge holder within the individual box remains in good structural condition.
