Description
This lever-action rifle is an A. Uberti Model 1873 Short Rifle, chambered in .45 Colt and configured for Cowboy Action Shooting or general sporting use. It features a 20-inch octagonal blued barrel with a full-length tubular magazine, paired with a case-hardened steel receiver, lever, and hammer. The furniture consists of a smooth walnut straight-grip stock and matching forend. Sighting is provided by a blade front sight and a step-adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The rifle is completed with a blued crescent-shaped steel buttplate. Verbatim markings on the top flat of the barrel include STOEGER – ACCOKEEK, MD – A. UBERTI – ITALY and 45 COLT near the receiver. The upper tang is stamped Model. 1873. and the serial number W47359 is visible on the lower tang. This firearm is accompanied by its original factory box, instruction manual, and promotional literature. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent, near-new condition. The blued finish on the barrel and magazine tube is deep and consistent, while the case-hardened receiver displays vibrant, mottled colors. The walnut stock and forend are smooth with no notable scratches, dings, or handling marks. The action appears to function smoothly and correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The bore is assumed to be in excellent condition based on the overall state of the item. The included factory box shows some minor shelf wear and tape residue.
