Description
This is a single Weatherby Mark XXII semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 L.R., configured for sporting and target applications. The rifle features a deep blued finish on the barrel and receiver. Key markings on the right side of the receiver include the model designation MARK XXII, U.S. PATENT 3,155,004, a cursive Weatherby signature, and SOUTH GATE, CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN. The right side of the barrel is marked CALIBER .22 L.R. The left side of the receiver displays the selector lever positions marked AUTO and S.S. with an arrow, alongside the serial number T09185. The high-gloss finished walnut stock is adorned with fine line checkering on the forearm and pistol grip, complemented by a contrasting dark wood forend tip with a white spacer and a pistol grip cap featuring a white diamond inlay. The firearm is equipped with a tubular magazine, a ramped blade front sight, and a folding leaf rear sight, and is topped with a Bushnell Sportview variable power scope featuring a duplex reticle. The stock is completed with a brown basketweave-pattern buttplate bearing the Weatherby name and white line spacer. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining a high percentage of its deep blued metal finish with only very minor signs of handling. The high-gloss finish on the walnut stock is well-preserved, showing sharp checkering and minimal surface impressions. The action appears to function correctly through manual cycling, though the rifle has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The optics on the Bushnell scope are clear. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling.
