Sold for: $875
Description
This Nightforce Varminter rifle scope features a 5.5-22x variable magnification range and a large 56mm objective lens designed for long-range precision. The optic is finished in a matte black and comes equipped with a lengthy removable sunshade and tall, capped target-style turrets for elevation and windage adjustments. It is currently mounted with a pair of heavy-duty six-screw tactical-style rings designed for use on Picatinny or Weaver rail systems. The internal optics utilize a specialized range-finding reticle featuring holdover points with circular aiming marks calibrated for distances of 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, and 800 yards. Key markings found on the main tube include the model designation Varminter above a circular logo, the specifications 5.5-22X56, and the manufacturer name NightFORCE in a stylized script. The underside of the tube is explicitly marked MADE IN JAPAN and bears the serial number F00754. Accessories accompanying this lot include a set of bikini-style plastic lens covers with an elastic retaining cord, an amber-tinted filter lens, and a small plastic bag containing additional mounting hardware.
Condition report:
The scope is in used condition with visible signs of field wear. There is significant scuffing and finish loss on the knurled portion of the objective sunshade, though the main body tube shows only minor surface wear and light contact marks from previous mounting. The turrets function correctly with positive, audible clicks. The magnification adjustment and parallax rings rotate smoothly throughout their full range. The lenses appear clear and free of significant scratches, and the reticle remains sharp and properly aligned.
