Description
This Winchester Model 67 is a single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges. It is configured with a 27-inch round barrel fitted with standard iron sights consisting of a fixed front blade and an adjustable rear notch. The metal surfaces, including the barrel and receiver, retain a blued finish that shows scattered surface oxidation and areas of thinning consistent with age and field use. The bolt assembly, which features a manual rear cocking piece, exhibits a worn polished finish with visible pitting on the handle and the cocking knob. The rifle is mounted in a one-piece walnut stock with a finger-groove forend and a smooth pistol grip, showing various scratches, dings, and handling marks throughout the wood. It is completed with its original checkered black composition buttplate embossed with the manufacturer logo. Verbatim barrel markings include: MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. — NEW HAVEN, CONN. — MODEL 67 — 22 SHORT – LONG AND LONG RIFLE — WINCHESTER — TRADE MARK –. Circled WP proof marks are clearly visible on the top of the barrel and the forward portion of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in fair used condition. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows significant thinning and a transition to a brown patina in several areas, accompanied by light surface oxidation. The bolt assembly and cocking piece are silvered from wear and show moderate pitting. The bore has not been internally inspected, but the action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The wooden stock is structurally sound but displays numerous surface impressions, scratches, and minor dings from regular handling. The checkered buttplate shows wear to the edges and smoothing of the textured pattern.
